George Yerou - Head of Sales

George Yerou has been with Freelancer Financials for around a decade, spending the past eight years as a mortgage broker before progressing to Head of Mortgage Sales in 2025. Prior to his promotion, George was consistently the company’s top-performing broker, combining a high volume of mortgage applications with a strong success rate and high standards of client service. In 2025, his work was recognised when he was named Top Residential Broker of the Year at the Next Intelligence Awards.

CeMAP-qualified, George specialises in contractor, self-employed and complex mortgage cases, and is often the person other brokers turn to when an application has reached a brick wall. Alongside continuing to advise his own clients, he oversees Freelancer Financials’ broker team and supports advisers with difficult cases. George has also played an important role in working directly with lenders to negotiate and improve contractor mortgage policies, helping make borrowing more accessible for contractors and the wider flexible workforce.

Outside work, George is a keen car enthusiast, an avid plane spotter and enjoys making the most of a well-earned holiday — particularly if there’s a spa involved.
